January House of the Month

Starting the year 2021 with this Odessa family’s home! Our January House of the Month was built in 1954. This home was in need of an updating for their windows and front door. Originally, the home had old aluminum windows. The door was an old wood door with an aluminum storm door. In total, we replace four single hung style, one 3-lite sliding style, two 2-lite sliding style windows, and a fiberglass entry door. To prevent rot, the windows were capped with white color trim coil; this also prevents having the homeowner paint each year. The update on the door consisted of oak wood grain painted white for both interior and exterior. All doors come with updated frame, jamb, threshold, interior trim, and exterior trim. Just like the windows, the door’s new exterior trim was capped with white trim coil. Great work!
Before (image from Google): aluminum windows in bronze color with colonial grids. Double pane with single strength glass. NO Low-E Glass or Argon Gas to keep the heat OUT during the summer and the heat IN during the winter.
Before
Although the aluminum windows are double pane, they do NOT have double strength glass or Low-E Glass with Argon Gas. Without these components, the windows are NOT energy efficient.
