February House of the Month 2021
Our February House of the Month home is located in Midland! Originally, the home 1985 home had old wood, single pane windows. After removing the old windows, Jason installed our fully welded, Energy Star rated vinyl frame windows. Classic clay was the color of choice and goes beautifully with the brick and trim on the home. In total, 5 double hung styles, 1 sliding, 8 casement, and 1 picture window were installed on the home. Because the windows were wood, Jason capped the exterior wood (brickmold around the window) with trim coil to match the windows. Quite the difference on the look of this home. Great work!!
Before: Wood windows painted a brown color and potential for rot. Single strength glass with NO Low-E Glass or Argon Gas to keep the heat OUT during the summer and the heat IN during the winter.
After: February House of the Month 2021 is now updated with fully welded, vinyl frame windows. Now with double pane glass BUT with double strength glass. Energy Star Low-E Glass with Argon Gas helps heating and cooling of the home.
Although the wood windows are pretty and original, they do NOT have double strength glass or Low-E Glass with Argon Gas. Without these components, the windows are NOT energy efficient.
House of the Month
The February House of the Month 2021 new windows included classic clay color exterior, classic clay interior, double pane with double strength glass, Energy Star Low-E Glass, and Argon Gas. Even more, the windows were capped with clay trim coil to prevent rot.
Before & After
Overall, it took Jason two full day to complete this project. Great work!
