For the February House of the Month 2022 James and Stephanie Howard of Crane, TX wanted to refresh
the exterior of their home with our quality replacement windows.
Before
Before: Being an older house built in 1980, their current windows were not energy efficient and needed a fresh look. The home is brick with cedar block and siding, and the windows were wood with aluminum frames with bulky storm windows mounted on top as well.
After
After: We installed a total of 18 white windows combining single and double hung windows, picture windows, and sliding glass windows all with no grids to keep the same style but with an updated look.
Before
Old aluminum windows had no low-e protection on the glass. Without the low-e glass & argon gas, the climate outside easily cuts through allowing energy costs to be higher than it should.
After
We installed a total of 18 white windows combining single and double hung windows, picture windows, and sliding glass windows all with no grids to keep the same style but with an updated look.
We wrapped the exterior in white aluminum trim coil to complement the new windows and framing. Not only will trim coil compliment the frame of the window, it caps exterior wood trim and prevents it from rotting. One unique feature we added to two of the windows was Rain Obscure which gives a faux finish of streaming rain on the glass for privacy.
On 4 of the windows, we installed interior trim casing and cut the center posts out to install the 2-lite sliding glass windows.
