Single Hung & Double Hung Style

The single hung window style have one sash that operates vertically for ventilation from the bottom of the window unit. The top sash is stationary.

The double hung window style has two sashes that operate vertically for ventilation from either the top or bottom of the window unit. Both sashes may tilt in for safe and easy cleaning from inside the home.

Balancers counter the weight of the sashes to provide easy operation and to allow the sashes to remain open in any position. Learn more about double hung windows.

The fixed center sash may be twice the width of the two operative sashes in a 1/4 – 1/2 – 1/4 configuration. Alternatively, all three sashes can have the same width in a 1/3 – 1/3 – 1/3 configuration. Learn more about 3-lite sliders.
