Our March House of the Month 2021 is starting the spring season with new windows, doors, and siding! We enjoyed working with this Midland couple. Their home was built in the 1950s and had original wood windows. The entry door and storm door also needed updating. An add-on on the back of the home required an update on the siding. Charter Oak siding in the Platinum Gray color replaced the old siding. The soffit and fascia all around the home were also replaced. The white windows were wrapped with Charcoal Smoke trim coil to match the fascia. In total, 16 double hungs, 3 picture windows, 1 storm door, 1 entry door, siding, fascia, and soffit. Great work done by Richard in about a week’s time!
Originally, the windows were wood and some eventually covered with a storm window. The windows and the brick mold around them were a faded green color.
Windows were replaced with Energy Star rated vinyl frame white color windows. The brickmold around the exterior of the window stayed. Richard wrapped each window with Charcoal Smoke color trim coil to prevent rot.
The siding replaced was a small portion of the back of the home. Charter Oak siding in the Platinum Gray color balanced out with the dark Charcoal Smoke and white windows. The update on the fascia and soffit completed the look of the home. In the end, all colors and products produced a great result!
We replaced the front entry door and front storm door. The new entry door is a fiberglass door was painted Sterling Gray interior and exterior. The special handle set is a multi-point locking handle. This handle locks on top, center, and bottom of the jamb. The storm door came in a Snow Mist white, matching the windows.
