March House of the Month 2022

Shannon & April Klier, despite having a home that was built just 15 years ago, found the windows that came with their home just weren’t cutting it. That’s because the Klier’s had what is known as builder’s or contractor’s windows.

These windows are the least expensive windows you can buy but they are also horrible in terms of performance, efficiency, and longevity. That’s because their frames are made from thin aluminum and single-pane glass. So, we showed up at Shannon & April’s house and got to work.

We tore out the cheap aluminum windows and the grids and replaced them with an array of our efficient windows. To match the beige brick exterior, we went with a white interior and Hudson Khaki exterior color windows in various styles:

  •   (3) Single Hung Windows
  •   (1) Circle Top
  •   (2) Octagon Windows (with privacy glass)
  •   (14) Picture Windows
  •   (2) 2-lite Sliding Glass Windows

The combination of styles helped to keep the original look of their home while greatly improving appearances as well as efficiency.

In addition to the windows, we also installed a beautiful French door with embedded miniblinds as well as a front entry door with the same convenient feature. Both doors were finished in Hudson Khaki trim coil to match the windows.
