The July House of the Month 2021 is in Big Spring, TX. This stucco home was built with aluminum frame windows in 1960. Aluminum frame windows can become VERY hot during the summer and do not do much to protect your home from this West Texas heat. The new white color windows make the home energy efficient because of the energy star Low-E Glass that comes standard on all windows. A double-pane with double-strength glass also helps improve the home. Argon Gas in between both panes of glass works with the Low-E Glass by slowing down the little heat that does transfer through. A total of 8 double-hung styles, 7 picture window styles, and 1 awning replaced all 16 windows on the home. Great improvement on the home!!
Before
Windows are aluminum frame with clear glass, allowing heat inside the home.

During
The Windows have been installed and are going to be trimmed out with snap trim to complete the job. The guys seal the windows to the home with caulking inside and the outside.
After
New windows are white interior with exterior. Double pane glass with Low-E Glass and Argon Gas protect the home from getting so hot during the summer, but also keeps the heat inside during the winter season.
